Greenlink Job Fair Set for Saturday, Jan. 25

Explore your options as a potential Greenville transit employee! Greenlink will be holding a job fair on Saturday, Jan. 25, at its new Transit Operations & Maintenance facility, 205 Arcadia Drive.

Greenlink staff will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to answer questions at the new state-of-the-art facility, which sits on 26 acres and doubles the capacity for bus maintenance while provideing 16 electric bus chargers, a natural gas fueling station and regular gas and diesel pumps.

Employees have access to a gym with cardio and strength training equipment, as well as outdoor trails and seating. They can use private showers and a locker room, in addition to multiple break rooms and quiet room for employees who want to rest during a break. New mothers have access to a lactation room and flexibility to use it to support their new family member.

Employee Jasmin Curtis chose Greenlink six years ago, entering as a part-time trolley operator. Today she is the Greenlink deputy director, after serving as a full-time driver and the safety and training manager. "Greenlink gave me opportunity and encouraged my professional development," Curtis said. "The team - from front-line employees to the director - want employees to grow and actively encouraged me to pursue opportunities. They believed in me."

Current open positions include: bus and trolley operators, customer service representative, part-time relief drivers, safety and onboarding manager as well as general manager of transit administration. Greenlink's Bus Operator in Training position allows for paid, on-the-job training for entry-level employees with no prior experience. It also includes a $500 bonus with the first paycheck and a two percent of gross earnings bonus after one year.

Applicants may fill out an online application at the job fair or apply at jobs.greenvillesc.gov.
