City Announces MLK Day Schedule for Municipal Services
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (January 16, 2026) - The City of New Brunswick will observe the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, Jan. 19. City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed. Public safety and emergency services will remain in operation.
The New Brunswick Free Public Library, 60 Livingston Ave., and the New Brunswick Senior Resource Citizen Resource Center, 81 Huntington St., will be closed on Monday. Trash scheduled to be picked up that day will now be addressed on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
In addition, federal and state offices will be closed, there will be no mail delivery, and financial institutions will be closed.
