Mount Clemens, MI - Today, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido's office announces that a 52-year-old Sterling Heights man was charged for a bank robbery in Sterling Heights.
It is alleged that July 23, 2025, at approximately 1:28 pm, Armand David Saroli entered a bank located in Sterling Heights and approached a teller. Saroli then presented a note to the teller demanding money. The teller gave Saroli the money demanded, and then Saroli fled the bank. He was later captured by the police.
After a thorough review of the evidence presented by the police, the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office is charging Saroli with:
Count 1: Bank Robbery, a felonypunishable up to life or any number of years
These are the maximum charges available under the law based on the evidence to date.
Saroli was arraigned in the 41-A Sterling Heights District Court where District Court Judge Annemarie M. Lepore set bond at $750,000 cash surety no ten percent. Saroli was remanded to jail with the conditions that if bond is posted, he must wear a GPS steel cuff tether, cannot be in possession of a firearm, ammunition or any other weapons, and shall not have contact with any of the bank.
The Probable Cause Conference for Saroli is scheduled for August 7, 2025, at 1 p.m. before Judge Lepore, with a Preliminary Exam date to follow on August 14, 2025, at 9 a.m.
