New ASPnet platform to facilitate collaboration and applications to the network

The dynamic network connects close to 10,000 schools in 181 national networks around a common goal to build peace in the minds of children and young people. The new collaborative platform will also boost the Network's capacity as a laboratory od ideas and innovation, facilitating dialogue among National Coordinators to share information and develop initiatives that connect learners from around the globe in meaningful ways.

Joining ASPnet

Membership is open to all public or private educational institutions recognized by national authorities within UNESCO Member States- from pre-primary to secondary levels including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions as well Teacher Training and Education Institutions (TTEI).

ASPnet members are expected to engage their school community-i.e., principals, teaching and administrative staff, school boards, student representatives, and families- on a collective learning curve and commitment to fostering UNESCO's values. Interested institutions are encouraged to familiarize themselves with UNESCO's values and programmes relating to Education for Sustainable Development, Global Citizenship Education and Intercultural and Heritage learning - the three main priorities of the Network.

The new platform can help to get a sense of the diversity of the global network with its interactive mapand its searchable directory. You will discover the educators and school communities that are on the front lines, transforming education for a more just, sustainable and peaceful world.

Project spaces and communication tools

The upgraded platform also includes new features to facilitate collaboration among National Coordinators:

  • Communication tools: A new chat functionality enables National Coordinators to exchange information seamlessly, fostering collaboration within the network.
  • Dynamic directory: The directory is now more interactive, offering advanced search functions and updated profile pages for National Networks and member institutions.
  • New data updating tools: These tools simplify ongoing data management, ensuring that national network information remains relevant.

This is just the beginning. ASPnet Connect will continue to grow to drive shared efforts toward global educational goals, fostering a vibrant network of collaboration and shared commitment to UNESCO's mission.
