Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation Releases ‘Advancing Literacy Efforts in Oakland’ Report

In Oakland, California, there is an overarching sense of hope about literacy and early childhood efforts. We're pleased to share the Advancing Literacy Efforts in Oakland report, written in partnership with DRK donor partner Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, which was founded by four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP Stephen Curry and entrepreneur, host, and two-time New York Times best-selling author Ayesha Curry. The report synthesizes the voices on the ground in Oakland, telling a story of both promise for change and persistent systemic obstacles to overcome, and offers strategic interventions with the greatest potential to improve literacy in the community. This collaborative effort has been instrumental in spearheading a coalition of local funders dedicated to catalyzing positive change within Oakland's literacy movement.

We look forward to the continued partnership with Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, a prominent convener and valued community partner in Oakland.
