Rep. Crockett Condemns Republicans’ Refusal to Rein In Trump’s Unauthorized War
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Rep. Crockett released the following statement: "Republicans in Congress once again refused to find their backbone and stand up to Donald Trump - giving him the green light to drag this country deeper into another dangerous, endless war in the Middle East.
Donald Trump went around Congress to start a war with Iran - a war that has already resulted in the deaths of six American soldiers.
He lied when he said he wouldn't start new wars, and he lied when he promised to make life more affordable. Now, here we are in the middle of a dangerous war costing taxpayers at least $1 billion a day, while many Americans are struggling to afford groceries, healthcare, and basic necessities.
So I have to ask: when will it finally be enough for them to stand up to Donald Trump and put the American people first?"
