Tempe City Councilmembers elected

May 27, 2025

Tempe, AZ - Tempe voters returned Councilmember Arlene Chin to another term and elected newcomers Brooke St. George and Bobby Nichols to Tempe City Council.

Councilmember Chin was elected outright in the primary election on March 10.

St. George and Nichols were elected in the May 19 runoff election. Results were finalized by Maricopa County Elections on Friday evening. They will be formally accepted at the June 4 Regular Council Meeting.

All three will be sworn in during a 6 p.m. ceremony on July 1 in Tempe City Council Chambers, 31 E. Fifth St.

Final tally for votes in the May 19 election in alphabetical order:

Jennifer Adams: 9,308 - 21.04%
Berdetta Hodge:10,475 - 23.68%
Bobby Nichols: 11,613 - 26.25%
Brooke St. George: 12,836 - 29.02%
