LOS ANGELES - Equality California Institute is proud to host the first-of-its kind Gender Equity Leadership Academy on March 15 & 16. This year's Southern California academy is designed for lesbian, bisexual and queer women, and transgender and nonbinary people who are interested in public office or appointed positions.
In today's politically hostile and divisive climate, queer women, transgender, and nonbinary people encounter challenges in leadership roles. That's why Equality California Institute is offering dedicated hands-on training, networking opportunities, and mentorship from LGBTQ+ leaders and elected officials.
"Lesbians, bisexual and queer women, and transgender and nonbinary people of all genders are often shut out of leadership roles," said Erin Arendse, Program Director. "This program is about changing that-creating an inclusive and empowering environment where they can develop the skills, confidence, and connections to drive meaningful change in their communities."
