Mayor Bowser to Host Press Conference Ahead of Major Winter Storm and Extreme Cold

(Washington, DC) - On Friday, January 23 at 10:00 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and District leaders will host a press conference to share updates on the District's preparations for the upcoming snow and extreme cold.

Residents and visitors can sign up for AlertDC at alertdc.com to receive real-time weather updates, ensuring they stay informed and prepared during winter storms. The District also provides a variety of resources to help keep families, homes, and vehicles safe in extreme weather, which can be found at snow.dc.gov.

Residents are also encouraged to stay vigilant and help neighbors experiencing homelessness in need of shelter by calling the Shelter Hotline. To request free, accessible transportation for yourself or someone else, call the Shelter Hotline at 202-399-7093 or by dialing 311. If you believe there is an immediate medical emergency, call 911.
