The City of Simi Valley is accepting applications from Simi Valley residents, aged 60 years or older, who are interested in serving on its Council On Aging (COA) Executive Board.
The COA Executive Board advises the Simi Valley City Council on senior-related issues and helps plan and support fundraising efforts for senior programs. Board members are nominated by the COA General Membership and appointed by the City Council to serve two-year terms beginning February 1, 2027.
The Executive Board meets monthly, excluding July and August, at the Senior Center to discuss programs and initiatives impacting the City's senior population. Members also support fundraising efforts for senior programs. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 1:00 p.m.
"The Council On Aging plays an essential role in supporting and advocating for older adults in our community," said Janice Del Santo, COA Chair. "We encourage anyone with a passion for service and experience in areas such as fundraising, finance, communications, administration, or any area of importance to seniors to apply."
Applications are available online at www.simivalley.org/COA and will be accepted through November 20, 2026.
