All Defense Logistics Agency employees on Defense Supply Center Richmond are required to enroll in the Lenel Access Control System by Oct. 30, to prepare the workforce in the event of heightened security measures or if a lockdown is implemented in response to an active threat.
Lenel ACS manages building access on the center. Most buildings are programmed to unlock automatically during normal duty hours, but remain locked at night, on weekends and during federal holidays. This system can also be used to lock down buildings for heightened security or in the event of an emergency like an active shooter.
What does Lenel registration mean to me?
Registering in Lenel gives you access to the building you work in, even when locked or during heightened security measures. You will be able to use your CAC or a personal pin number to enter when your building is locked. If you are not registered and/or your access level is not assigned in Lenel, you will be unable to access the building during restricted hours or periods of increased security.
How do I get registered?
The Security Operations Branch is offering expanded hours in October to make registration as easy as possible. Expanded registration will be held in Building 201 between Oct. 6-30, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday. To avoid long wait times, employees are asked to come on the day that corresponds with their last name:
Can I register sooner?
Yes, you can beat the rush and avoid the lines! Security is currently taking walk-ins on Mondays and Wednesdays from noon - 3 p.m. No appointment is required. On Oct. 31, 2025, we will revert to Mondays and Wednesdays from noon - 3 p.m.
I am already registered, what do I need to do?
Nothing is required if you are registered and have your access levels set. However, if your work location changes or you get a new CAC, be sure to have your Lenel access updated.
Who can I contact if I am not sure if my access is up to date?
Email the physical security team at [email protected].
