Minister of Foreign Affairs George Gerapetritis’ teleconference with the Heads of Greece’s Embassies and Consulates in Iran and the Middle East (01.03.2026)
The teleconference of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Heads of Greece's Embassies and Consulates in Iran and the Middle East region has been concluded.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs was briefed on the extremely difficult situation prevailing on the ground. The meeting focused on issues concerning the safety of Greek citizens, their accommodation, and the management of repatriation requests submitted through the dedicated platform activated for each Mission.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs provided instructions for the immediate and safe return of all citizens wishing to depart, once air traffic is restored.
Finally, he requested that our Diplomatic Missions remain on full alert and maintain constant communication with Greeks in the region.
