Colorado Broadband Office Opens Public Comment Period for Middle-Mile Due Diligence & Strategic Roadmap

DENVER, July 24, 2026 - The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO), housed within the Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT), today announced the release of its Middle Mile Due Diligence and Strategic Roadmap Report for public review and officially opened a two-week public comment period running from Friday, July 24, through Friday, Aug. 7, 2026.

The roadmap outlines a phased strategy to connect, align, and scale Colorado's regional middle-mile infrastructure into a unified, sustainable statewide network. By establishing shared governance, technical standards, and investment priorities, the framework aims to bridge critical connectivity gaps across the state and provide robust support for ongoing last-mile internet deployment.

"We welcome insights, feedback, and perspectives from community members, local leaders, and industry partners across Colorado to help shape the final version of this roadmap," said Brandy Reitter, Executive Director of the Colorado Broadband Office.
