MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State faculty members are invited to explore ideas, policies and tools related to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in courses at the AI and Teaching Summit on May 13 at Penn State Harrisburg.
The summit is hosted by the Center for Teaching Excellence at Penn State Harrisburg, the Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses, the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence and Teaching and Learning with Technology.
The summit is open to all faculty across the University. The event will be held on the Harrisburg campus from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to attend in-person but Zoom options may be available.

Topics for the morning sessions at the summit include AI resilient assignments, AI integrated assignments, AI use ethics, AI icons and the course syllabus, and AI Studio training, among other topics.
The afternoon will focus on working sessions for attendees to apply what they have learned to their courses. Participants will be able to join an academic discipline group or topic-based groups or have individual consultations with an instructional designer.
The event aims to help support faculty with effective integration of AI tools in their courses as part of supporting student AI literacy.
