Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, Hon. Pro. Julius Ihonvbere

On December12, Ambassador Yu Dunhai met with Hon. Pro. Julius Ihonvbere, the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives of Nigeria.

Ambassador Yu stated that Chinese modernization has continuously achieved historic achievements and kept injecting stability and certainty into global development under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China. The Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development clearly states that China will continue to expand high-standard opening-up and share development opportunities with all countries in the world. The China-Nigeria Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has entered the "fast track", and China stands ready to consolidate strategic mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation and push the bilateral relations with Nigeria to a new height.

Hon. Pro. Ihonvbere spoke highly of China's remarkable achievements in economic and social development and reaffirmed Nigeria's firm adherence to the one-China principle. He expressed the willingness to promote exchanges and cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, so as to learn from China's experience in governance, and inject impetus into the high-level development of bilateral relations.
