Columbia Police arrest suspect wanted for Kansas City homicide

(COLUMBIA, MO)-

On March 5, Columbia Police officers were serving a search warrant on an unrelated investigation in the 2600 block of Quail Drive when they located La'Relle D. Dennis, 24, of Kansas City, who had active warrants in Kansas City for second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Dennis attempted to flee from Columbia Police but was safely apprehended. Officers arrested Dennis for the active warrants and for an additional charge of felony resisting arrest by fleeing.

Dennis is a suspect in the August 2024 homicide of a man who was found shot to death in a car on East 82nd Street in Kansas City.
