Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple will be joined by Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety Director of FORTIFIED Market Development Alex Cary, Parish Construction & Roofing Partner (and LSU Baseball National Champion and 2x World Series Champion) Ryan Theriot, and Louisiana Fortify Homes Program Participant Stephen Curtis to mark Louisiana reaching the milestone of 10,000 FORTIFIED roofs in the state and provide major program updates. FORTIFIED roofs are specifically designed to prevent damage that commonly occurs during high winds, hurricanes, hailstorms and severe thunderstorms. They are built with stronger edges, sealed roof decks, impact-resistant shingles and are better attached with ring-shank nails.
