Free Webinar January 27: Consolidated Net Worth Election

NASHVILLE -- The Department of Revenue will host a free webinar on consolidated net worth election for the franchise and excise tax on January 27 at 9 a.m. Central time.

During this webinar, our staff will explain Tennessee's consolidated net worth election for franchise & excise tax, including eligibility, filing requirements, and how affiliated groups can compute their net worth base on a consolidated basis to simplify compliance.

The Department of Revenue is responsible for administering state tax laws and motor vehicle title and registration laws, as well as collecting taxes and fees associated with those laws. The department collects about 87 percent of the total state revenue. During the 2025 fiscal year, it collected $21 billion in state taxes and fees, as well as more than $5 billion in taxes and fees for local governments.
