The City of St. Petersburg 2026 Primary Election Guide

August 3, 2026 - As part of its St. Pete Votes! campaign, the City of St. Petersburg is sharing helpful information to ensure residents are informed about when, where, and how they can vote in the August primary elections.

Here's everything you need to know:

Register to Vote

While the deadline has passed to register to vote in the August primary, you can still register for the November general election. Check your registration status any time at VotePinellas.gov .

Vote by Mail

Request Deadline: Thursday, August 6, at 5 p.m.

Request a vote-by-mail ballot through VotePinellas.gov . You can renew your request online by using the link above or by calling the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections at 727-464-VOTE (8683). Ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, so be sure to mail it ASAP or drop your ballot at an official secure ballot return location.

Early Voting

Saturday, August 8 - Sunday, August 16

Skip the Election Day lines and vote early at any early voting site in Pinellas County. The early voting location in St. Pete is at Pinellas County Election Services, 501 First Ave. N. Find other locations and hours at VotePinellas.gov .

Election Day

Tuesday, August 18, Polls are open 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

If you're going to vote in person on Election Day, make sure you're election ready! Look up your polling place at VotePinellas.gov - it may not be the same location you've used in past elections.

What to Bring

State law requires a voter to present valid picture and signature identification at the polling place. Florida accepts several forms of photo and signature ID, including a driver's license, state ID card, U.S. passport, or student ID. Voters without acceptable identification may vote using a provisional ballot, which will be evaluated later for eligibility by a canvassing board.

Count Me In

Community-based organizations, small businesses, and individual residents have come together to present Count Me In, a nine-day series of pop-up events celebrating civic engagement and connection during the early voting period. The events will take place at and around St. Petersburg City Hall, just steps from Pinellas County Election Services, and will feature community organizations, food vendors, and other resources for residents. Parking

During the early voting period, the City of St. Petersburg is offering free parking at The Coliseum (535 4th Ave. N) for residents casting their ballots at nearby Pinellas County Election Services.
