Delivered the Most Original Programming Hours in Franchise History

Viewers have watched 14.8 billion minutes of BIG BROTHER's twists, blindsides and unforgettable moments throughout its historic 28th season, up +9% from last summer. The summer staple also saw year-over-year audience growth, averaging 5.1 million viewers in seven-day multiplatform viewing, up +8% from last summer, while ranking as the summer's most social program across all television programs (excluding sports).

In addition to viewership gains, season 28 delivered one of the most memorable runs in BIG BROTHER history, becoming the first primetime television series ever to reach 1,000 original episodes and earning two Guinness World Record titles - Most Episodes of a Primetime TV Series and Most Episodes of a Competitive Reality TV Series. The landmark season featured 52+ hours, the most original hours of BIG BROTHER (including BIG BROTHER: UNLOCKED) programming in the franchise's 26-year history.

The season culminates in a historic finale with Rick Devens, Drew Campbell and Taylor Brown in the final three, as Devens looks to become the first SURVIVOR competitor to win BIG BROTHER. The 90-minute live finale airs Thursday, Oct. 1 (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+ when one Houseguest to be crowned the winner and walk away with $750,000.

BIG BROTHER Season-to-Date Viewership Highlights:

  • Viewers have spent 14.8 billion minutes with BIG BROTHER (season 28), up +9% (13.6b) from last summer, with full episodes and live feeds across CBS, Paramount+ and Pluto TV.

  • Multiplatform average episode viewership grew to 5.1 million, up +8% versus last year in 7-days of viewing, outpacing the competition:

    • +46% more than Love Island season eight on Peacock (3.5m)

    • +23% more than Traitors season four on Peacock (4.1m)

  • BIG BROTHER full-episode viewership on Paramount+ posted its most-streamed summer ever on an AMA basis.

  • BIG BROTHER Sunday episodes delivered consecutive week-to-week gains for the first five weeks of the season.
