Upcoming Intersection Improvements at Routes K/N in Scott City…

SIKESTON-The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to improve the intersection of Routes K and N in Scott City, Missouri.

This safety improvement project will realign Route K and County Road 305. Rebuilding the intersection will improve turning movements and better accommodate commercial vehicles.

Tentatively, the project will be let in December 2026. Construction will begin once school is out of session in late spring/summer 2027. Completion of the project is anticipated by August 2027 to avoid impacts to school traffic.

Construction will be staged to allow the roadway to remain open as work is underway. Short duration closures may be required as the new pavement is tied into the existing pavement.

Maps, plans, and other information prepared by MoDOT will be available for public inspection and copying at MoDOT's Sikeston District office, 2675 N. Main St. in Sikeston, Missouri.

If assistance is needed in another language, please contact MoDOT Project Manager Chris Crocker at (573) 380-1658 by Friday, Dec. 26.
