The Montgomery County Office of Consumer Protection (OCP) has released a new episode of its Consumer Connection podcast titled "Connecting Consumers with County Council President Kate Stewart."
The episode features an in-depth conversation with Stewart about her journey in public service and the County's ongoing efforts to strengthen consumer protections, tenant rights, and environmental sustainability.
Hosted by OCP Investigator Michelle Escobar, the episode explores key issues that affect Montgomery County residents.
Episode highlights include:
• Expanding protections for seniors and vulnerable adults.
• Strengthening tenant rights and emergency safety requirements.
• Addressing unfair water billing practices.
• Supporting renewable energy and sustainability initiatives.
The conversation also touches on Stewart's leadership priorities, including mental health awareness, civic engagement, and plans to honor Montgomery County's 250th birthday.
