BOSTON - A convicted firearms trafficker from Revere has been indicted by a federal grand jury for being a felon in possession of firearms.
Cory Daigle, 31, of Revere, was indicted on charges of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition. The defendant will be arraigned at a later date.
In August 2024, Daigle was convicted of unlawfully trafficking in firearms, possessing a machinegun, receiving or possessing an unregistered firearm and additional firearms-related offenses. Daigle was sentenced to approximately two years in prison in that case and, according to court documents, had only been released from Bureau of Prisons custody a few weeks before he was allegedly found to possess 11 firearms, more than 100 rounds of ammunition and additional firearm components during a search of his residence on June 25, 2026.
The charge of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition provides for a sentence of up to 15 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes which govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal case.
United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Jeff Grimming, Acting Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England; and Justin Page, Acting Inspector in Charge of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service's Boston Division made the announcement today. Valuable assistance was provided by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, Boston Field Division and the Revere and Boston Police Departments. Assistant U.S. Attorney Julissa Walsh of the Major Crimes Unit is prosecuting the case.
The details contained in the charging document are allegations. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in the court of law.
