The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova informs that the security situation in the Middle East remains complex. Missile and drone attacks continue in several countries in the region, and airspace is closed, partially open, or affected.

According to information confirmed by the Republic of Moldova's diplomatic missions, no casualties or injured persons have been recorded among citizens of the Republic of Moldova in the monitored countries.

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova are urged to:

• remain in safe places;

• avoid non-essential travel;

• strictly follow the instructions of local authorities;

• continuously check flight status directly with airlines;

• not go to the airport without prior confirmation.

State of Israel

Airspace: closed

• The security situation remains largely unchanged, with periodic missile and drone attacks.

• Citizens of the Republic of Moldova are urged to follow the measures set by the Israeli authorities and to remain in missile shelters until the official announcement regarding the end of the alert.

• The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova is operating 24/7 and provides consular assistance.

• Following the checks carried out, no casualties or injured persons have been recorded among citizens of the Republic of Moldova.

Information for foreign workers:
The Foreign Workers Administration informed the Embassy that foreign workers in all sectors who left Israel with a valid re-entry visa ("Inter-Visa") whose validity has expired or will expire during 28 February 2026 - 14 March 2026 (inclusive) will benefit from an automatic extension of visa validity until 21 March 2026 in the information systems of the Population and Immigration Authority.

• The extension is granted automatically, without submitting an application.

• The measure applies to persons currently outside Israel who left the country with a valid re-entry visa, under the conditions mentioned above.

Airspace: closed

• The security situation remains complicated; the authorities have introduced shelter-in-place measures, recommending that people remain in safe locations.

• The security situation in Iran remains extremely volatile.

• The Azerbaijan-Iran land border remains closed for regular traffic; emergency exits are possible only through institutional coordination.

• According to available information, there are currently no citizens of the Republic of Moldova in Iran, and no evacuation requests have been received.
