Indianapolis, Ind- After opposition from many organizations all session, the Indiana Senate passed the Energy Inflation Act today. House Bill 1007will soon head to Governor Braun following a final vote in the House on the amended version of the bill. This comes a few short days after Gov. Braun signedcoal-related executive orders mimicking Trump.

Statement from Robyn Skuya-Boss, Hoosier Chapter Director for the Sierra Club:

"Hoosiers should be alarmed that we're witnessing a massive transfer of wealth from hard-working families to financially healthy utilities and tech companies in the form of higher utility bills along with increased air and water pollution. Renewable energy adds a tremendous amount of value to the grid, and it's disheartening that lawmakers, utilities, and tech companies are actively standing in the way of progress for Indiana's economy and our environment."
