Israeli attacks in Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces have begun targeting civilian infrastructure as part of their war on Lebanon. Most recently they have begun destroying bridges over the Litani River.

Along with these actions, it has been reported that the Israeli defence minister has ordered the destruction of homes inside of Lebanon, and even ordered that this destruction be accelerated.

In the light of this, we have the following questions for the Vice-President of the Commission / High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (VP/HR):

• 1.Does the VP/HR accept that Israel's war on Lebanon is illegal?
• 2.What concrete steps will the VP/HR propose that the EU and Member States take as a result of these latest actions?
