NTCA released the following statement from CEO Mike Romano after the FCC voted to adopt a Report and Order to speed up the transition from legacy networks to next-generation IP-based infrastructure:

"We are grateful to Chairman Carr and the FCC for a continued focus on how to modernize rules in ways that will in turn help modernize networks. In the wake of today's welcomed vote, we look forward to continued discussions on other ways that the FCC can remove unnecessary burdens and facilitate investment while also promoting regulatory certainty and fulfilling core statutory objectives like universal service and competition."
