What: San José Fire Department (SJFD) Women's+ Boot Camp
When: Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SJFD invites media to attend for b-roll of the workout and interviews with Boot Camp staff from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Where: San José Fire Department Training Center
1591 Senter Rd., San José, CA 95112
Background: The San José Fire Department is excited to host its sixth annual Women's+ Boot Camp.

The Women's+ Boot Camp provides an opportunity for interested individuals to learn more about a career in the fire service. The event will consist of a challenging circuit training workout, hands-on demonstrations with firefighting tools and equipment, and a Q&A session with the women of SJFD.

This free event held at the new SJFD Training Center is open to 100 adult (18+) participants, including non-binary, gender non-conforming, and trans women community members. While all 100 spaces have already been filled, a waitlist is available.
