Ambassador of Belarus V.Barchuk holds meetings in Nicaragua

On December 3, 2025, in Managua, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Cuba and concurrently to the Republic of Nicaragua Vitali Barchuk met with President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Nicaragua Leonardo Ovidio Reyes Ramírez.

The meeting was also attended by the Advisor to the Co-Presidents of Nicaragua on Investment, Trade and International Cooperation, Laureano Ortega Murillo.

The parties reviewed in detail the current state of the Belarusian-Nicaraguan interbank cooperation, analyzed the implementation of previously signed agreements and outlined concrete steps to expand existing and form new effective mechanisms of interaction.

On the same day, Ambassador V.Barchuk took part in the solemn ceremony of handing over to the Nicaraguan side another large batch of Belarusian construction, cargo and utility equipment MAZ and AMKODOR (248 units).

The event was attended by the Nicaraguan side by the Adviser to the Co-Presidents of Nicaragua on Investment, Trade and International Cooperation, Laureano Ortega, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Nicaragua, Oscar Mojica, the Attorney General of the Republic of Nicaragua, Wendy Morales, and the Mayor of Managua, Reina Ruedas.

The transferred equipment will be used for the construction and maintenance of motorways and municipal roads, as well as to maintain the cleanliness and order of the road network, contributing to the creation of a comfortable urban environment for residents and tourists.

Belarus and Nicaragua confirm their commitment to further develop partnership relations, strengthen economic, technical and financial ties, which opens up new opportunities for effective cooperation in the long term.
