On February 3, 2026, the Office of Violence Prevention's Safe Blocks program hosted the "I AM Dawson Park" resource fair at Dawson Park in Portland's Eliot Neighborhood.

The event included Portland Solutions, Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church (Saturday Samaritans), Urban League of Portland, Cascadia Garlington Health Center, Dream Big City (FamJam), Multnomah County Health Department, and Portland Housing Bureau.

Highlights included free meals, food pantry access, hygiene products, warm weather supplies, clothes, and socks for community members.

Resource fairs at Dawson Park are an important collaboration between Safe Blocks and community partners to provide needed resources to the neighborhood.
