On June 26, on the sidelines of the Dubrovnik Forum, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mnatsakan Safaryan met with Frano Matušić, State Secretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.
The sides highly valued the establishment of the Armenia-Croatia Strategic Dialogue, launched on the margins of the European Political Community Summit held in Yerevan in May, as well as the expanding cooperation across a wide range of sectors. The Croatian side reaffirmed its support for Armenia's deepening partnership with the European Union and for the implementation of initiatives under the Strategic Agenda.
The interlocutors agreed to continue making joint efforts to maintain the active political dialogue and the momentum of high-level bilateral contacts.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed his counterpart on the preparations for the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, to be hosted by Armenia in 2026, as well as on the steps being taken to institutionalize peace in the South Caucasus.
