Buffalo, NY - Buffalo Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon announced that the City of Buffalo will lift its winter parking regulations effective Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 12:01 AM.
With the transition to milder, springlike weather and lower chances of significant snowfall, seasonal overnight parking restrictions have been lifted ahead of the scheduled date. These restrictions are typically in place until April 1 each year.
"After months of cold, harsh winter weather, I am pleased to announce that Buffalo's winter parking regulations will be lifted early," said Mayor Scanlon. "I appreciate the cooperation of Buffalo residents throughout the winter months and encourage everyone to continue following regular parking guidelines."
Residents are advised that, despite the lifting of winter parking regulations, in the event of significant snow accumulation, they should make efforts to remove their vehicles from the streets to facilitate effective snow plowing operations.
