DGA Chair Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear released the following statement on Gov. Josh Shapiro securing the Democratic nomination for governor in Pennsylvania.

"Congratulations to my friend Gov. Josh Shapiro on officially becoming the Democratic nominee for governor in Pennsylvania. Gov. Shapiro has spent his first term getting stuff done and delivering for Pennsylvanians, creating jobs, making communities safer, and investing in public education. He's led through some of the toughest times and brought people together to make life better for working families across the Commonwealth - all while standing up for our freedoms.
