Aggravated Battery

On Friday, July 25, 2025, at approximately 6:56 p.m., Peoria Police officers and EMS responded to a residence in the 2200 block of N. Knoxville regarding a report of a female who had been cut by another female.

Upon arrival, officers located a 29-year-old female victim who reported being physically attacked by an adult female.

On the day of the incident, the suspect reportedly exited a CityLink bus and approached the victim, who was standing in the front yard of a residence at the above location. The suspect was armed with a knife and attacked the victim, causing deep lacerations to her arm and hand.

Following the attack, the suspect fled the area on foot, walking eastbound on Arcadia.

The victim was treated on scene by EMS and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at approximately 9:13 a.m., Peoria Police located the female suspect, 32-year-old Olivia D. Payno, in the 2100 block of N. Prospect.

Payno was taken into custody without incident and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Battery.

She was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
