INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to 122 Vaughn Road in the Town of Kingsbury for a child not breathing. Upon arrival a two (2) month old infant was found to be not breathing and was transported to Glens Falls Hospital by the Fort Edward Rescue Squad. Upon arrival at the hospital the child was pronounced deceased. The scene was secured by the Sheriff's Office, and a Search Warrant was executed at the address.
The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Investigation Units. As a result of the Search Warrant a second person has been charged in connection to the investigation. The Sheriff's Office has arrested the mother of the infant, Kari N. Fillmore-Fordrung for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a class A-II Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A Misdemeanor. The father, Keshaun M. Williams of NYC was previously charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a class A-II Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, a class D Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A Misdemeanor.
Villmore-Fordrung is being held at the Washington County Jail awaiting arraignment in Centralized Arraignment on October 6th at 7pm. An autopsy was performed on the child victim, Kaine S. Villmore-Williams on Monday October 6th at the Glens Falls Hospital. The results of the autopsy are pending a toxicology report and further review by the Doctors.
