Gresham Renames Acquired S&P Global EDM Platform as Opus EDM

Gresham, the enterprise data automation firm backed by Symphony Technology Group (STG), today announced that the Enterprise Data Management platform acquired from S&P Global Market Intelligence will be renamed Opus EDM.

The platform, which has traded under several names across more than a decade in market, including Cadis, Markit EDM, IHS Markit EDM and most recently S&P Global EDM, now joins Gresham's portfolio as Opus EDM. The new name reflects the platform's position as a market leading, high-scale solution built for the most demanding data environments in financial services.

Mark Hepsworth, CEO of Gresham, said: "Opus EDM is an established market leader in enterprise data management. As part of Gresham it will be central to our focus on enterprise data automation in mission critical financial services ecosystems. The new name marks its next chapter as part of Gresham, where we will focus on product innovation, AI enablement and continuing to expand the range of managed services around the platform that clients can choose to use to reduce TCO."

Devendra Bhudia, EDM Chief Product Officer, said: "Our clients chose this platform because it works at scale, in regulated environments, across complex data types. That does not change. What changes is the level of resource and ambition behind it. Being part of Gresham gives us the platform to accelerate development in ways that were not possible before."
