UPDATED: Bridge Joint Replacement on Route 32 Over I-95 Northbound in New London

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing bridge work will be performed on Route 32 over I-95 northbound in New London. This project is scheduled two weekends and is scheduled to occur as follows: Week one is starting October 17 at 8:00 p.m., through Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Week two is starting Friday, October 24 at 8:00 p.m., through Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. This project ensures the bridge remains in a state of good repair.

This project is being performed by Mohawk Northeast.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

The Route 32 on ramp to I-95 northbound will be closed to traffic starting October 17 at 8:00 p.m., through Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. and again starting Friday, October 24 at 8:00 p.m., through Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. Traffic control signing patterns and detours will guide motorists through and around the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
