Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs meets with First Assistant Secretary for Southeast Asia Regional and Mainland Division of Australia.

On 2 July 2025, Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs, had a discussion with Ms. Robyn Mudie, First Assistant Secretary for Southeast Asia Regional and Mainland Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia. The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Department of European Affairs, the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, and the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA).


Both sides highlighted the significance of cooperation between Thailand and Australia at bilateral, sub-regional, and multilateral levels. The discussions placed emphasis on advancing collaboration in key areas, including through Mekong sub-regional cooperation to address pressing shared challenges, support for Thailand's accession to the membership of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and strengthening cooperation in economic development, environment, climate change, energy, and green supply chains.
