Islanders invited to comment on Community Plan for St Martin's Parish

Wednesday 01 July 2026

The Development & Planning Authority is inviting islanders to comment on a Community Plan for St Martin's Parish prepared by local residents, which includes proposals for green spaces, housing, traffic and pedestrian improvements.

A Community Plan is a document which sets out how those who live, work and spend time in the area would like to see their local area change in the future. Community Plans are taken into account by the Authority when assessing proposals for development within the area and also help developers understand the types of development which will be supported by the local community.

The Community Plan for St Martin's was developed by a local independent committee in consultation with parishioners.

The plan can be viewed at gov.gg/stmartincommunityplan and all islanders are invited to provide their comments via e-mail at [email protected] or in writing to the Development & Planning Authority, Sir Charles Frossard House, La Charroterie, GY1 1FH.

The closing date for comments is Wednesday 26th August 2026.

If the comments received confirm that the Community Plan is supported by islanders and there are no reasonable objections, the Development & Planning Authority will then consider this for approval as Supplementary Planning Guidance.
