City of Tuscaloosa to Host Love our Lakes Day
Tuscaloosa Water and the City of Tuscaloosa's Environmental Services Department invite residents to take part in Love Our Lakes Day, a lake cleanup event on Saturday, March 21, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lake Tuscaloosa's Rock Quarry Boat Landing.
Presented by Tradesman Dock Building Company, this community-driven initiative focuses on preserving the natural beauty and health of Lake Tuscaloosa. Volunteers will receive garbage bags and litter pick-up gear provided by the City's Environmental Services.
The first 75 volunteers to arrive will receive a free t-shirt, and lunch will be provided to participants.
Volunteers with boats are encouraged to bring them, as they'll help clean up hard-to-reach areas of the lake. Volunteers without boats will be assigned to City boats.
