NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

GRAHAM J. MORRISON dba MORRISON GUIDE SERVICE

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: GRAHAM J. MORRISON dba MORRISON GUIDE SERVICE

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35712

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: South of Bear Creek, 5.6 miles west of the Kvichak River, approximately 7.5 miles south-west of Levelock.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: NE 1/4 NE 1/4 Section 24, Township 13 South, Range 47 West, Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Graham Morrison, dba Morrison Guide Services LLC, is requesting a land use permit for a year-round commercial recreation camp south of Bear Creek, near Levelock. The camp would consist of a 16-feet by 12-feet cabin for use during the month of September for guided moose hunts, with year-round boat storage. The request also includes the use of short-term portable camps.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: May 2026
End: April 2030

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: October 9, 2025

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
