Weekly Lane Closure Advisory for the Transform 285/400 Project

WHAT:
Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will implement lane closures for punch list activities. Travel restrictions may include possible delays, reduced speeds, and detours in some areas.

*NOTES: Work schedule updates can be made daily. Check the project web page often for the latest updates. Detour information is shown using red text.
WHEN/WHERE: Traffic Impacts on I-285 and SR 400 from July 14, 2025, through July 20, 2025

Overnight Closures:

Monday, July 14, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • One left lane on I-285 westbound from Chamblee Dunwoody Road to SR 400
Tuesday, July 15, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • One left lane on I-285 westbound from Chamblee Dunwoody Road to SR 400
Closures and Detours:

**I-285 eastbound to Roswell Road
(Detour Map)
  • Motorists traveling on I-285 Roswell Road should use Exit 26 Glenridge Drive and Glenridge Drive to access Roswell Road.
  • Alternate Route: Motorists traveling on I-285 eastbound to Roswell Road should use Exit 26 Glenridge Drive and Hammond Drive to access Roswell Road.
Roswell Road to I-285 eastbound (Detour Map)
  • Motorists traveling on Roswell Road to I-285 eastbound should use I-285 westbound and Exit 24 Riverside Drive to access I-285 eastbound.
**Roswell Road to I-285 westbound (Detour Map)
  • Motorists traveling on Roswell Road to I-285 westbound should use I-285 eastbound and Exit 26 Glenridge Drive to access I-285 westbound.
Ashford Dunwoody Road to I-285 westbound (Detour Map)
  • Motorists traveling on Ashford Dunwoody Road to I-285 westbound should use I-285 eastbound and Exit 30 Chamblee Dunwoody Road to access I-285 westbound.

Abernathy Road to SR 400 northbound

  • Motorists traveling on Abernathy Road to SR 400 northbound should use Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Hammond Drive to access SR 400 northbound.
  • Motorists traveling west on Abernathy Road to SR 400 northbound should use Mercedes-Benz Drive (road changes to Barfield Drive) and Hammond Drive to access SR 400 northbound.
Thursday, July 17, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • One right lane on SR 400 southbound from Northland Drive to Windsor Parkway

Abernathy Road to SR 400 northbound

  • Motorists traveling on Abernathy Road to SR 400 northbound should use Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Hammond Drive to access SR 400 northbound.
  • Motorists traveling west on Abernathy Road to SR 400 northbound should use Mercedes-Benz Drive (road changes to Barfield Drive) and Hammond Drive to access SR 400 northbound.
Friday, July 18, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • One left lane on SR 400 northbound CD lanes from North Springs MARTA Station to Spalding Drive
