City of Tuscaloosa Receives ATRIP-II Grant
The Alabama Department of Transportation has awarded the City of Tuscaloosa an Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation & Improvement Program II (ATRIP-II) Grant.
The funding total is $3,468,500, which consists of an ATRIP-II awarded amount of $2,000,000 and the local amount of $1,468,500. Funding will be used for the reconstruction of Julia Tutwiler Drive and improvements to Campus Drive.
The ATRIP-II program was created to improve and rehabilitate transportation infrastructure related to the state-maintained highway system in an effort to improve public safety and economic growth.
