Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman on Friday visited RACVIAC - the Centre for Security Cooperation, at the invitation of its Director, Constantin-Mihail Grigorie. The meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm the successful long-standing cooperation between RACVIAC and the Republic of Croatia, with Grigorie expressing gratitude to Croatia for its continuous support.
During the meeting, the participants discussed further enhancing cooperation and addressing shared security challenges. RACVIAC director highlighted Croatia's significant contributions as a full and active member in fulfilling membership obligations. These contributions, as noted by Grigorie, include Croatia's multiple chairmanships of the Multinational Advisory Group (MAG), the organization of numerous RACVIAC activities, and the secondment of personnel. Additionally, he mentioned that the position of RACVIAC deputy director is consistently held by a high-ranking officer from the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia. Grigorie also emphasized that Croatia provides one of the strongest financial supports to the Centre for Security Cooperation, showcasing its dedication as the host country to fostering regional security and stability.
Furthermore, Grigorie informed Grlić Radman about RACVIAC's plans for 2025, the year in which the organization will celebrate its 25th anniversary. He stated that, in addition to increasing the organization's visibility, they aim to focus RACVIAC's programs and initiatives on new and critical topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, nuclear safety, and critical infrastructure protection. These efforts are intended to stimulate dialogue on issues of vital importance to the region's security and stability.
Grlić Radman expressed his gratitude for the invitation and praised RACVIAC's activities, emphasizing its key role in fostering dialogue and cooperation in the region. He reaffirmed the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia's strong commitment to the organization's strategic goals, ensuring continued support and stronger engagement in RACVIAC operations.
