RESEARCHERS – Call for Proposals: Oxford-Harrington Rare Disease Scholar Award

Applications Due March 9, 2026

This award supports academic researchers advancing promising rare-disease discoveries toward clinical application. The program provides funding plus hands-on therapeutics development support to accelerate preclinical projects. Areas of interest include rare neurological, developmental, metabolic disorders, rare cancers, and other high-unmet-need genetic diseases. All therapeutic modalities are considered.

Award benefits:

  • $100,000 guaranteed grant funding
  • One year of therapeutics development and project management support (renewable)
  • Access to drug development, cell and gene therapy, and core research facilities
  • Eligibility for up to $300,000 in acceleration funds and up to $1M in investment funding
  • IP rights retained by the awardee or institution
