Public Works Announces 2026 Commissioner's Award Winners
As part of a national celebration of Public Works Week, the Department of Public Works (DPW) Commissioner John Nardone and other City officials recently honored five employees with the 2026 Commissioner's Award for Outstanding Performance during a ceremony and cookout at the DPW yard. This award recognizes five employees who have demonstrated exemplary work performance.
The recipients honored with this Award at the ceremony were:
- David Chaisson, Working Supervisor, Cemetery Division
- Derek Doucette, Electrician Coordinator, Electrical Division
- Mark Gaffey, Senior Laborer, Building Operations Division
- Ronnie Sun, Accounting Manager, Business Services Division
- Teddy Valcourt, Compliance Officer, Solid Waste Division
