The PES congratulates Partito Democratico on its strong results in the Emilia Romagna and Umbria regional elections

The Party of European Socialists warmly congratulates Partito Democratico and the progressive forces in both regions on securing a decisive majority in the regional elections in Emilia Romagna and Umbria. Both election victories mark a crucial moment for Italy and, for Europe, defeating the alt-right competition supported by the ruling party of Giorgia Meloni.

Stefania Proietti's victory in Umbria marks the beginning of a new chapter focused on expanding services for all, starting with healthcare."
