Traffic #ALERT: Investigation Underway in Sumner Neighborhood Involving Fatal Hit-and-Run

The Portland Police Major Crash Team is responding to a fatal traffic crash involving a hit-and-run to a driver who was struck after getting out of his vehicle on Northeast Prescott Street in the Sumner Neighborhood.

On Friday, December 12, 2025 at 3:04 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a report of a crash in the 8700 block of Northeast Prescott Street. When officers and paramedics arrived, they found a male deceased at the scene. The involved driver left the scene. No suspect information is available at this time.
The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate the crash. During the investigation, Northeast Prescott Street is closed between Northeast 86th Avenue to Northeast 88th Avenue.
