State Visit by President of the Republic of Ecuador Daniel Noboa Azín, 23 to 24 August 2026
President of the Republic of Ecuador Daniel Noboa Azín will make a State Visit to Singapore from 23 to 24 August 2026 at the invitation of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
This will be the first State Visit by an Ecuador Head of State to Singapore. President Noboa's visit reaffirms the warm ties between Singapore and Ecuador and provides an opportunity to discuss ways to deepen ties in areas such as agri-trade, logistics, and digitalisation.
President Noboa will call on President Tharman. President Tharman will host a State Banquet in honour of President Noboa. President Noboa will also meet Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong. Following the meeting, Prime Minister Wong and President Noboa will witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Development Cooperation by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility Roberto Carlos Kury Pesantes.
President Noboa will be accompanied by Minister Kury Pesantes, Minister of Economic and Productive Development Sariha Belén Moya Angulo, Minister of Environment and Energy Juan Carlos Damián Blum Baquero, and senior officials.
