Capitol Hill Day involves ASHA members, ASHA-certified assistants, and National NSSLHA members. ASHA Advocacy is looking for representation from across the country, professions, and practice settings.
Capitol Hill Day advocates will prepare with ASHA Advocacy staff on September 22 to meet with their legislators on September 23. ASHA Advocacy will craft personalized agendas for advocates and prepare them with resources and tools to support these important conversations. There will be many opportunities to collaborate and network with fellow advocates. ASHA will provide a certificate of attendance for the learning experience.
Hill Day takes place September 22-23, 2026. Applications must be submitted by June 5. ASHA will send out acceptance notifications by June 18.
Capitol Hill, Washington, DC.
This event is free. Attendees must cover their transportation to Washington, DC, as well as lodging.
Connecting with legislators goes beyond writing a letter or making a call. In-person meetings build relationships and open legislators' eyes to their constituents' needs. Advocates can make an impact on Capitol Hill as the 119th Congress makes decisions that affect ASHA members' professional future!
