Apply for ASHA's 2026 Capitol Hill Day

The Top Line: Apply by June 5 to take part in ASHA's 2026 Capitol Hill Day event September 22-23.

Join ASHA Advocacy for Capitol Hill Day 2026! This September 22-23, audiologists, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), assistants, and students will make their voices heard on Capitol Hill during ASHA's largest Hill Day of the year! Applications are open now through June 5, 2026.

Who

Capitol Hill Day involves ASHA members, ASHA-certified assistants, and National NSSLHA members. ASHA Advocacy is looking for representation from across the country, professions, and practice settings.

What

Capitol Hill Day advocates will prepare with ASHA Advocacy staff on September 22 to meet with their legislators on September 23. ASHA Advocacy will craft personalized agendas for advocates and prepare them with resources and tools to support these important conversations. There will be many opportunities to collaborate and network with fellow advocates. ASHA will provide a certificate of attendance for the learning experience.

When

Hill Day takes place September 22-23, 2026. Applications must be submitted by June 5. ASHA will send out acceptance notifications by June 18.

Where

Capitol Hill, Washington, DC.

Cost

This event is free. Attendees must cover their transportation to Washington, DC, as well as lodging.

Apply

Connecting with legislators goes beyond writing a letter or making a call. In-person meetings build relationships and open legislators' eyes to their constituents' needs. Advocates can make an impact on Capitol Hill as the 119th Congress makes decisions that affect ASHA members' professional future!
